Book It.

I think there is something about walking into a room filled with lots of books.  The types of books one owns can say a lot about the person. One day, I hope to have walls and walls filled with books in my house, (all saying good things about me, of course)! One particular book collection I've been wanting to start are these leatherbound classics. That is not to say that I don't want shelves filled with books on travel, fashion, and cooking because I want it all!

So what makes these bookcases so compelling? In order to give life to your own bookshelves follow these tips from HGTV:

1. Put Your Passions on Display  2. Make it Functional  3. Show Off Your Collections  4. Go Big and Bold  5. Forget Symmetry and be Odd  6. Stack Books  7. Mix in Art with Books  8. Arrange Books by Color  9. Add Sparkle & Shine  10. Light it up

I completely agree with you, I have a thing for libraries, it's just so vintage and cozy looking! I love all of these different ways of filling bookcases, so creative!

No 5 looks great! We do have an issue in 'lodging' all of our books. My husband and I own together more than 3.000 books and this means one room is simply dedicated to them :)

Thanks for sharing, so pretty pics!!

I arranged my books after colors a few years ago. But after some time the professional bookseller in me took advantage and now I've arranged everything after the author's names. Can't help.

Man, I love pic #5. So beautiful!!

Have a nice day!! XO.

I've got a huge bookcase on my landing but would love to have more. The better half can't understand why I hang on to books after I've read them, but oh, I do so love them! XX
