I recently saw one of my favorite DIYs ever. Yes, EVER! I was browsing around on The Late Afternoon and saw this wonderful project of creating your own dresser. This led me to two lovely blogs that each recreated the IKEA Rast Dresser.  One is a Dorothy Draper inspired dresser from the crafty Nancy at Marcus Design and the other is a crisp white design done by the creative Aubrey and Lindsay at Little House Blog. The too-good-to-be-true cost to do two dressers: under $125! I am incredibly impressed how both of these blogs demonstrated how they were able to create something so plain into such a lively piece! About 6 months ago I purchased furniture and I regret not seeing this amazing DIY earlier.  For now, I'll have to stash this idea away for future use!

That is a amazing DIY! I love the idea of using pain to look like molding and trim. (as in the Dorothy Draper one) And I LOVE Dorothy Draper.

Ahh I wish I had the crafty talents for DIY projects. My creative talents stick to blogging and writing only, ha. But these are beautiful - thanks for sharing!
